Spill Kit – A must have utility tool

A Spill kit is a set of items used in the cleaning of oil leaks or spills from a container or the place where it is kept. Normally a Spill kit contains two to three gears. It comprises of defensive attire or a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), an absorbent used to clean up the oil spill. Third and the last gear in few kits comprise of gears used to stop oil outflow. The gears contained in a Spill kit may vary depending upon the type and size of the material that has been spilled. These kits are available in small as well as large packs also.

According to the size of spilled material, a Spill kit comes in two sizes: Small Spill Kits- A small Spill kit must contain a pair of hand gloves; an absorbent; and a pot to gather the cleaned-up stuff. Having a whisk broom, a dust collector and a plastic bag can also be helpful in collecting the spill. Large Spill Kits- A large Spill kit must have defensive attire for two people including coverall suits, gloves, boot covers, specs, a duct tape, and absorbents in many sizes. Helmets or steel toed boots can be used in case of dangerous spills.
